What is the best way to clean my pugs face wrinkle?
He has a really big face wrinkle that is very deep. It gets very dirty and stinky! Any suggestions?
I have a pug too so I know JUST what your talking about…I use non scented alcohol free baby wipes….they work great & dry fast so as not to leave behind mositure in the folds, which causes more bad smells
my pug doesnt have real deep folds so I only wash her face about evry other to every 3 days
but you may want to do it daily

baby wipes or dog wipes. They sell wet naps for dogs at petsmart near the other health products.

Use a toothbrush and lift up their skin and use a mild soap.

The best way to clean him would be with a cotton bud (q-tip) and some doggy shampoo diluted by half. Don’t use any human detergents or shampoos as they could be poisonous.

i have an English bulldog. same problem. i think the best answer is just use a wet cloth and stay on it all the time. just wash his face periodically all day everyday.

They actually sell doggie wipes at a lot of retail stores. They’re good for your dog and can help messy situations:) Or, if your at home a warm wash cloth works, too.

You should ask your veterinarian. They have special wipes for this. If it smells, then it is infected, it may be mild yeast or bacteria – but it should be treated. If it goes untreated, it will only get worse.

Every single day, at least once, use a washcloth with gentle soap (your hand soap or shower gel would work fine). Use pleasantly warm water, and make sure you get all through the wrinkle. Make sure you aren’t rubbing too hard, that you rinse out all the soap, and that you get it very dry before you’re done.
This is extremely important to do for your dog. If the condition goes unmaintained, fungi and even worse smells can develop.

just use a flannel with warm water
do not use and wipes or anything with a chemical in it
it could give your dog a allergy.
i have a shar pei
